It’s hot, it’s wet, it’s so dirty it’s filthy. People, once again it is time to pull your cleats out of the dryer, find the remainder of last year’s BodyGlide ™, stock up on Ibuprofen, identify the eight ultimate players that you like the least but play the best, and BRING IT at Gnarly Gnines XI.
When?May 10th. Meeting at 8:29 am. First game starts at 9 am. Last game finishes around 6:30 or 7.
Where?Burlington “Soccer” Park
Who?You.
What?Ultimate. Straight up.
Why?Because we at Bellingham Ultimate love you and want you to have a nice day.
Cost?$99. Guarantee your spot by sending some estimate of your team’s strength, plus money to: BLANK. Bids accepted in order of payment. Please send any e-mail questions to: Miguel Boriss
In case you forgot, this all-luxuries tournament focuses on player amenities and comforts, providing all the gourmet foods, massages, and scantily-clad charismatic local megafauna that one could hope for. A complete list of what you get for your money:
  • water from a spigot
  • fields marked with cones
  • occasional toots (TOOT!) from an air horn
  • a 9-game playing schedule sure to cause you pain.

As with past years, the Gnines format allows only gnine players per roster, 5/4 men/women. On field ratio is 4:3; any team may opt for 3:4, but the opponent doesn’t need to match. (Note: during the tourney please don’t whine about injuries, the spirit issues of not matching genders, etc. This is a 4:3 tourney, and it’s supposed to be difficult.)

9 games to 9 points in 9.5 hours. The extra half hour after game 7 allows reseeding for two round playoffs. We may stagger the last games to allow players to watch the finals. Which, yes, would make it 10 hours, but we don’t care. We just don’t.

It is possible there will be a prize for the winners. As with past years, that is also unlikely.

Warm Regards,

Bellingham Ultimate
